Once we entered Croatia, swiftly escaping the Schengen Area, we made a quick stop in the capital (and quite rainy) city of Zagreb before heading south to the sunny coast of Dalmatia.
In the coastal city of Split, we stocked up on a week’s worth of groceries (for only $46!) and caught a bus to the tiny village of Marušići.
Here, in Marušići, we had found a small house on the Adriatic Sea, with two private beaches at our doorstep. Here, we would spend the next 5 days resting, cooking delicious meals, playing with our resident kittens (Momma Cat, Jiminy, Butthead, & Doodle), watching beautiful sunsets, and catching up on life.
For 5 days we managed to venture no further than a 20 meter radius. A vacation from traveling, if you will.
