This year, Independence Day is taking on an entirely new meaning for the two of us.
This year, Independence Day is the day that we leave behind everything and everyone we’ve ever known, declaring our independence from our traditional routines and wandering off on a 400+ day bike ride around the world.
Entirely grateful for every opportunity, role model, and stakeholder that has helped/inspired/supported us in reaching this point, we leave now to write our own story.
As we enjoy two glasses of red wine in a United Club Lounge, preparing to board our one-way flight to London, we acknowledge that this is a monumental day in our very own history books… this is a day we’ll remember forever.
This day, today, is our Independence Day.
